Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has driven a global transformation in education systems towards a hybrid approach, which combines face-to-face and online learning. The challenges and weaknesses in tahfiz education today stem from curriculum-related issues and a lack of technological skills. In this context, there is a need to revisit classical Islamic educational models that emphasise values and character development. The al-Qābisi Model, founded by Abu al-Hasan Ali al-Qābisi, offers a holistic educational approach that highlights adab (ethics), the role of the teacher as a murabbi (moral educator), a gradual method of instruction, and a balance between knowledge and spirituality. This article discusses the importance of the al-Qābisi Model in strengthening a value-based, structured, and comprehensive hybrid education. By applying the educational principles of al-Qābisi, hybrid education has the potential to produce students who are not only academically excellent but also morally upright and resilient in the face of the challenges of the modern era.
