Abstract

This study was conducted to examine the level of knowledge and the level of implementation of cooperative learning among Islamic Education teachers in Jasin District, as well as to identify the relationship between the level of knowledge and the level of implementation of cooperative learning among Islamic Education teachers in Jasin District. This survey study employed a questionnaire involving a sample of 97 Islamic Education teachers in Jasin District, Melaka. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS 21.0 software, involving descriptive analysis (percentage, mean, and standard deviation) and inferential analysis (Pearson Correlation). The results of the pilot study based on Cronbach’s Alpha analysis for each construct indicated that the reliability level was 0.8. The findings revealed that the level of knowledge of cooperative learning was high. Meanwhile, the level of implementation of cooperative learning was also high. Furthermore, the results of the Pearson Correlation analysis showed a positive relationship between the level of knowledge and the level of implementation of cooperative learning among Islamic Education teachers in Jasin District. The implications of this study may guide the Islamic Education Unit of the Jasin District Education Office (PPD Jasin) to place greater emphasis on applying cooperative methods in teaching sessions with Islamic Education teachers.
