Many universities’ physical activity programs may lack accessibility for students from diverse backgrounds, including those with financial constraints or scheduling conflicts. Limited access to facilities, equipment, transportation, and programming may prevent specific student populations from fully participating in physical activity opportunities, exacerbating disparities in health outcomes. This study aims to promote engagement in physical activity by planning and designing a standard physical activity program according to exercise principles. The main objective was to improve fitness, including the standard, which provides guidelines for planning, implementing, and evaluating physical activity programs to ensure their quality and effectiveness. By incorporating evidence-based practices, program evaluation mechanisms, and ongoing quality improvement efforts, universities can enhance the impact and sustainability of their wellness initiatives. Develop an extensive program offering a range of physical activities designed to cater to university students' diverse needs and preferences. The exercise principles serve as the primary guide in planning the program. In the early phase, three experts were appointed to assess the physical activity program. The second phase involved selecting students according to the criteria and pre-test; the third phase consisted of conducting the exercise program; the fourth phase was the post-test. The findings showed that exercise programs improved their physical fitness. Planning and implementing a standardized, evidence-based physical activity program has significant potential to enhance university students' health and overall quality of life. By adopting a systematic approach that emphasizes program evaluation, inclusivity, and student engagement, universities can effectively promote physical activity and address disparities in access. This approach supports the sustainability and quality of wellness initiatives, fostering healthier campus environments that accommodate the diverse needs and preferences of the student population.
Annisaa Basar, Hidayah Mohd Fadzil, Syed Kamaruzaman Syed Ali, Nur Nabihah Mohamad Nizar, Mohamad Firdaus Ahmad Copyright (c) 2025 https://mojes.um.edu.my/index.php/MOJEM/article/view/63268 Fri, 25 Jul 2025 00:00:00 +0800 EMOTIONAL STABILITY OF TEACHERS IS ASSOCIATED WITH CONSCIENTIOUSNESS AS MEDIATORS TOWARDS TEACHERS' PROFESSIONAL TALENT DEVELOPMENT IN MALAYSIA https://mojes.um.edu.my/index.php/MOJEM/article/view/63270
High-effort teachers tend to experience a higher level of exhaustion and emotional instability. Recent research suggests talent development training is needed to cultivate teachers’ personalities. This research aims to investigate how talent development is correlated with teachers' conscientiousness and emotional stability among teachers in MICSS and examine whether conscientiousness among MICSS teachers in Malaysia serves as a mediator for talent development and is associated with emotional stability. The researcher implemented quantitative research methodologies to collect numerical data from 357 Malaysian teachers serving at MICSS. It was found that talent development, conscientiousness, and emotional stability showed a weak-to-moderate correlation. Teachers' conscientiousness plays a full mediator role in the correlation between talent development and emotional stability among MICSS teachers in Malaysia. To the best of our knowledge, this is the initial endeavour to examine the relationship between the emotional stability, conscientiousness, and talent development of MICSS teachers in Malaysia.
Koh Aik Siong, Ahmad Zabidi Abdul Razak Copyright (c) 2025 https://mojes.um.edu.my/index.php/MOJEM/article/view/63270 Fri, 25 Jul 2025 00:00:00 +0800 EXAMINING THE IMPACT OF COMMUNICATION AND SELF-EFFICACY ON READINESS FOR CHANGE IN HIGHER EDUCATION INTERNATIONALIZATION IN INDONESIA https://mojes.um.edu.my/index.php/MOJEM/article/view/63271
In an effort to increase the competitiveness of higher education towards a world-class university, the Indonesian government encourages state universities towards internationalization, transforming the institution into a state higher education institution of an incorporated legal entity, or “Perguruan Tinggi Berbadan Hukum (PTN-BH)”. This study aims to examine the role of agents of change, communication in change, and self-efficacy of readiness for change recipients at universities that will change their legal entity to PTN-BH. This study was quantitative, utilizing a self-administered survey from a sample of 194 employees of PTN-BH. The collected data was analyzed using PLS with SmartPLS version 3.2.9. The results indicated that communication in change and self-efficacy affected readiness to accept change, while the role of agents of change failed to moderate the influence of communication and self-efficacy on readiness for change. The study found that communication and self-efficacy significantly enhanced readiness for change among university employees during PTN-BH transformation, while the expected moderating role of agents of change was not supported. This is initial research and an open opportunity for future scholars to handle effective models in university change management for PTN-BH.
Widya Parimita, Budi Santoso, Agus Wibowo, Datu Razali Datu Eranza, Hadziroh Ibrahim, Febrisi Dwita, Ardy Firman Syah Copyright (c) 2025 https://mojes.um.edu.my/index.php/MOJEM/article/view/63271 Fri, 25 Jul 2025 00:00:00 +0800 EXPLORING THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SUSTAINABLE EDUCATION, TEACHER CAREER STAGES AND TEACHER CAREER MANAGEMENT https://mojes.um.edu.my/index.php/MOJEM/article/view/63275
This research examines how sustainable education correlates with teacher career stages and career management. This quantitative research applies SEM Smart PLS and Path analysis to analyse the data. The data are collected from a 5-Likert scale questionnaire comprising five elements of sustainable education, five elements of teacher career stages and seven elements of career management. All these elements are first validated before being distributed online through Google Forms. There are 320 public elementary school teachers involved as participants voluntarily in this study. The results of data analysis reveal that sustainable education is significantly and positively associated with both teacher career stages and career management. These findings give crucial insights to stakeholders of the institutions on how important teacher career stages and career management are in the development of teacher professionalism, which in turn affects the quality of sustainable education.
Ratnawati Susanto, Noni Agustina, Yulhendri, Widarto Rachbini, Nurfisi Arriyani Copyright (c) 2025 https://mojes.um.edu.my/index.php/MOJEM/article/view/63275 Fri, 25 Jul 2025 00:00:00 +0800 MADRASAH EDUCATION MANAGEMENT IN SRI LANKA: CHALLENGES AND FUTURE DIRECTIONS https://mojes.um.edu.my/index.php/MOJEM/article/view/63276
The madrasah education has been under study for years in South Asia. The contemporary Indian model of madrasah education has been in Sri Lanka since the late 19th century. Previous studies unequivocally called for the reformation of madrasah education. However, none of the previous studies integrated the challenges of madrasah education to set the future direction and management. Hence, this study aims to explore the challenges of madrasah education and its future directions. The integrative literature review, conducted using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) framework, was supplemented with a nominal group technique to explore the challenges and future directions. The theoretical framework of this study is constructed on institutional theory and Durkheimian network theory, with a focus on the joint madrasah system model in Singapore. Eight subject matter experts were involved in the nominal group technique. This research explored thirty challenges that madrasah education faces under ten domains. This study concludes that addressing these ten domains in pedagogical, organisational, and managerial foundations is essential for the future direction of madrasah education management in Sri Lanka.
Mohamed Rislan, Zuraidah Abdullah, Mohammad Ismath Ramzy Copyright (c) 2025 https://mojes.um.edu.my/index.php/MOJEM/article/view/63276 Fri, 25 Jul 2025 00:00:00 +0800
