Creativity Objective: Teaching is a high-risk occupation for stress, which may impact quality of life (QOL). This study assessed stress levels and QOL among vernacular primary school teachers in Petaling Jaya District, Malaysia, and examined demographic associations.
Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted among 104 teachers selected through a stratified random sampling method. Data were collected using a Demographics Questionnaire, Teacher Stress Inventory (TSI), and WHOQOL-BREF. Statistical analyses were performed using SPSS.
Results: Female teachers reported significantly higher stress in life satisfaction (p < 0.033), while their overall QOL was rated as good. Teachers under 30 years scored higher in physical health (p = 0.041). Supervisory support was strongly associated with physical health.
Conclusions: Workplace support is essential for mitigating teacher stress and enhancing overall well-being.
